026 Just as we have pseudo Hindutva, we may have Pseudo Communists and Pseudo Secularists

Clarification: I am not a fan or hater of Mr. Gaddar, Reputed Telugu language Leftist Poet. Mr. Gaddar, Reputed Leftist Telugu Language Folk Balladeer has come forward to contest against Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao, the present Chief Minister of Telangana State, India. According to present indications he may contest as an Independent Candidate from Gajvel Constituency against KCR, with support from all Opposition Parties. Mr. Gaddar, born in 1949,is nearly 70 years now. All these years, he has ostensibly been a supporter of Armed Revolutions and Maoists, though he has not joined the Maoists openly. His main strength is folk-singing and folk dancing. Earlier, he used to follow a dress code of semi-nakedness of not wearing shirts, probably to demonstrate his nearness to the Tribals. Ostensible reasons given by him for his about-turn towards Voto-cracy or ballato-cracy are:--

“What is prevailing in Telangana is feudal raj. Not a single promise made by K Chandrasekhar Rao before 2014 has been implemented totally.”

“The BJP has been selectively targeting all the leaders who had opposed Modi.”

"...I am ready to fight for secular forces and campaign for them. Rahul Gandhi has launched the Save Constitution campaign and we endorse that campaign and will join it. ..."

What does Mr. Rahul Gandhi say?
"...Amongst the many issues we discussed, was how to defend our Constitution from the systematic attack by the forces of fascism that seek to undermine it...".

"...I look forward to hearing GADDAR sing his songs of revolution and to watch one of the plays he's scripted some time in the near future. ..."
It also appears that Mr. Gaddar has met Mr. Rahul Gandhi, for begging to get a ticket to his son Mr. G.V. Surya Kiran, who had joined Congress Party in April 2018. After all, blood is thicker than water, and of course, Marxism. Isn't it? If Mr. Gaddar's son is given a Congress ticket, will all the "Akali kEkalu" (Pangs of Hunger) of Telangana Mother (The Telangana State has been personified by Telangana activists as Telangana Mother) will vanish and all will be well? If Mr. KCR Telangan's present Chief Minister anoints his son K. Taraka Rama Rao as Chief Minister, it becomes Feudalism, and if Gaddar wants to anoint his son as Member of Legislative Assembly with the help of bourgeoisie parties like Congress, will it become Naxalism or Marxism? Mr. Gaddar cannot explain because he is a Singer. Singing can succeed with a sonorous voice, and embellishments of melody and tempo. But "truth" needs a different nourishment, i.e. the nourishment of "Practice" identical to the "Preachings" in the songs.

ybrao-a-donkey's personal views not intended to be imposed on others:-

Feudal Raj existed in India at all times, from periods immemorial. Post 1947, whether it is in Congress Rule or under Opposition Rule, Feudalism thrived as before. Reason: Only landlords and landlords-turned-industrialists can spend millions of bucks in Elections. No Working Class Person can spend such millions of bucks. Mr. Gaddar, in the above quote is referring to non-fulfilment of promises made by Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao before 2014. I am not a supporter of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao. But, it must be said that non-fulfilment of Election Promises is common not only among Indian Bourgeoisie politicians , but also Worldwide bourgeoisie politicians. Consequently, in some States of India, and also in some countries such as France, Voters have developed a habit of "alternating" the incumbent Governments, irrespective of their merits and demerits.

A Telugu language proverb: E rAyi aitE nEm tala pagula goTTukOvaTAniki? English: If we are to break our head with a stone, differences in stones will not matter. With any stone we can break our head.

In Economic Theory we have what is called "Indifference Curve Theory". With repeated adverse experiences, voters have lost hopes, and bringing the voters to Polling Booths itself is a problem, without offering them inducements either from Government Treasury (e.g. Increased Old age pensions,Unemployment Allowances, Agricultural Debt Relief etc.), or from Party Funds, or from personal funds of candidates. Directly or indirectly votes are to be purchased.

The Official Facebook Page of Mr. Gaddar, (original name: Gummadi Lakshmana Rao) apparently is: https://www.facebook.com/GaddarOfficial

Question: Why Leftist Parties in India are unable to make any dent into Ballet Politics?
2. Whatever the Leftist Parties normally offer, all such concessions are now being offered by both the Centrist and the Rightist Parties. As far as Populist and Welfare Economics is concerned, the dividing line among the Leftist, Centrist and the Rightist Parties has nearly disappeared. If the Leftist Parties have to succeed, they have to straight-away offer the fundamentals of Marxism, i.e.

a) Removal of Private Property

b) Maintain all means of Production in State Sector

c) Remove Currency System. Closure of all kinds of Markets, including Stock Exchanges.

d) Make physical labor compulsory for all healthy and able-bodied persons, at least for 50% of the Work hours, irrespective of their designations and cadres (Hierarchies are to be smashed);

e) Removal of all types of Inequalities. Equal dignity and respect for all citizens.

f) Conversion of Prayer Places into Godowns, Schools, Hospitals. Minimisation of Religion in the Lives of Citizens.

g) Removal of Marriage and Family System.

h) Introduction of Community Kitchens, and discontinuation of home cooking. Liberating women from their drudgeries.

i) Controlled Consumption of alcohol. Liquor should not be allowed to be produced in Private Sector and marketed, with misleading advertisements.

j) Non-inheritable, non-alienable houses and apartments are to be alloted to every individual citizen of age of 15 years and above, and discontinuation of "Family" as unit.

Obviously, Mr. Gaddar cannot offer all the above things.

If Mr. Gaddar offers all the above things, no political party, including Congress will support him.

Question: All the above seem to be un-fulfil-lable promises.

Ans: They may be un-fulfil-able promises. Yet, the above, and some more, are to be the effects, functions and goals of True Total Socialism. "Individual for the Society, and the Society for the Individual" is possible only if people are properly enlightened. Populist measures like Old Pensions, Health Care Insurance are only like ameliorative ointments providing temporary reliefs.

023 Does CPIM have inner party democracy?

Question: Does CPIM have inner party democracy?

Reply, जवाब, జవాబు :   IN POST No. 022 here, I have given a link to the interview given by Mr. Sitaram Yechury to theHindu.com.  The last question in the interview, and the answer given by Mr. Sitaram Yechury, are quoted below:-

Are we speaking to the next general secretary of the CPI(M)?

None of us now, I believe, are competent also to say anything on it because our party has a very vibrant inner party democracy. The Party Congress — our highest decision-making body — elects the new Central Committee. That new Central Committee elects the new general secretary and the Polit Bureau. I am in the old Central Committee. I am completely out of my jurisdiction to say anything.

This view of Mr. Yechury is like a person appreciating his own perceived beauty.  Truth may be a thousand kilometers far away.   When a person's name is proposed for a particular post, by the powers-that-be, in Indian political parties, nobody will dare to oppose them.  If anybody dares, they will be necked out.  Speeches by powers-that-be are not opposed.  Nobody wants to expose themselves by their outspokenness.  Hence, most internal elections in Indian political parties end up to be unanimous affairs.  Proposers' names and seconders' names are predecided by the High Command, dynastic or otherwise.

If Mr. Sitaram Yechury really wants his party to install a more effective and efficient inner democracy, he should strive for introduction of the system of secret ballot not only for elections, but also for all key decisions.  Then truth will come out.  The electorate and the Constituency should consist the largest possible number.  To ensure this, postal or e-ballots through internet or mobiles, may have to be introduced.  Everybody cannot personally attend the Party Congress.

022 Writing to President of India may be as good as breaking one's own head against the Red Fort Wall

.

Shri Sitaram Yechury is Rajya Sabha Member, representing CPIM.  He is also that Party's Polit Bureau member.  President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee is from Bengal.  CPIM has great experience of nearly four decades in Bengal.  As a top leader of CPIM, Mr. Sitaram Yechury may already know our Rashtrapatiji.

Mr. Yechury is said to have written to President of India requesting him, not to sign ordinances bypassing Parliamentary Procedures.  The context and reference is to the Land Acquisition Ordinance which is being sent to the President for a second tenure, as ruling NDA could not get the Bill cleared in Rajya Sabha.

There will be no difference between writing a letter to the President of India, and breaking one's own head, striking it against the wall of the red fort in Delhi.

Then what should be done?

Mr. Sitaram Yechury has given one interview to the Hindu Daily, on the context of the 21st Congress of his Party .  Below is the link.

About 25 persons commented, in response to the interview.   Most of them support BJP and oppose CPIM.  Some of these comments contain valid questions.  Here is a link to the interview & its comments.  Those of my readers who wish to study them can study them.

I wish Mr. Yechury to study those comments and reply them at the Hindu, which is a top news paper in India.  He can also place his replies at his party's website cpim.org.

I shall try to cover some of the questions and answers given by Mr. Yechury in my forthcoming blog posts.
